During the Holidays everyone needs hope, especially the estimated 14.8 percent of those in San Diego County who live in poverty.? Over winter break, 230,000 low-income school children stop receiving free school meals.? This forces many families to turn to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank for help.
In an effort to help these families receive as many donations as possible, NadoLife Restaurant Group has teamed up with the San Diego Food Bank to implement the ?give a can, get a dollar? campaign. ?Customers will receive $1 Off vouchers in exchange for every can of food they donate.? These vouchers can be used at ant NadoLife location ? Village Pizzeria, VP Bayside, Lil? Piggy?s Bar-B-Q, Leroy?s Kitchen + Lounge, and MooTime Creamery.
The Food Bank needs food that will provide nutritious meals for people in need. Their most needed food items include:
- Canned meat & tuna
- Canned soups
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Peanut butter
- Canned beans
- Spaghetti
- Dry cereal
- Rice
- Mac & cheese
?
NadoLife has been a great supporter of local organizations. ?We?ve always tried to remain committed to supporting? the local community, especially during? such hard times,? says Owner David Spatafore.
If you would like to donate, drop off bins will be available through Jan 7th.
