Johnstown native graduates U.S. Army War College

JOHNSTOWN - Army Lt. Col. Shauna M. Hauser has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa., and earned a master's degree in Strategic Studies.

The 10-month curriculum of the senior officer school is designed to prepare and train officers to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide.

Hauser is a provisional commander assigned to the 42nd Military Police Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The lieutenant colonel has served in the military for 20 years.

Hauser graduated in 1988 from Johnstown High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 1992 from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y. She also earned a juris doctor in 2001 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama.
