MTV Movie Award Nominations: Announced!

The nominations for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards just came out and, not surprisingly, the year's biggest blockbusters are up for the most Golden Popcorns.

The Movie of the Year category at the hip awards show pits The Hunger Games against Breaking Dawn Part I and the final Harry Potter film. Epic.

Bridesmaids and The Help round out the nominations for the top prize.

The films up for best picture also duke it out in other categories: Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson and Kristen Wiig are all up for Best Female Performance.

Daniel Radcliffe and Josh Hutcherson received nods for Best Male Performance. Twilight's Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were shut out of each.

Other categories at the annual show include Best Dirtbag, Best Kiss, Best Fight, and Best Gut-Wrenching Moment ... the Academy Awards, this is not.

But it's fun. Curious about which of your favorite films and stars scored nominations? Take a look the full list of nominations for the 2012 MTV Awards:
